Texas Operation Lifesaver Announces New Truck Driver Rail Safety Project

Texas Operation Lifesaver is pleased to announce a new project funded by a grant from Operation Lifesaver, Inc., designed to raise awareness about rail safety among truck drivers.

TXOL’s approved grant project is to conduct a 60-day digital truck stop ad campaign at truck stops targeting CDL drivers of tractor-trailers and large trucks along Texas freight corridors in the South and Southeast.  The digital ad “Always Expect A Train!” followed by the yellow diamond logo “See Tracks?  Think Train! will be on the diesel pumps at the selected truck stops.  Each time a driver uses the pump, they will see our rail safety reminders.  The campaign will run 60 days, however, as an in-kind match, AllOverMedia the ad agency will add 30 days to the campaign at no cost at truck stops where ad space is available.

Also, to help increase rail safety awareness among professional drivers, during the Truck Stop ad campaign OL volunteers will be encouraged to reach out to trucking companies to offer presentations.  TXOL will provide volunteers a pdf of a flyer they can copy and distribute to trucking companies.
